Evolution, Atheism and Religion

It was February 4, 2012 when I received argumentative statements from Anonymous in my Tumblr inbox which talk about Evolution, Atheism and Religion. The exact statements were:

Evolution is proven. God doesn’t exist. Science explains everything. “Morality is doing right, regardless of what you’re told. Religion is doing what you’re told, regardless of what is right.” - Let us strive for a world where science and reason make the human race progress, instead of being divided by “religion”. I don’t need religion, I have a conscience.
I first felt upset upon receiving such statements but God reminded me not to be deceived in any way (2 Thessalonians 2:2). With the help of my American friend who has an Evidence Bible and through the guidance from Above, I was able to respond and proved him/her wrong.

Let me begin with: Evolution is proven. Actually, it is not. What we see in the world is natural selection and survival of the fittest. I am yet to meet anyone who can prove the Big Bang Theory. To further disprove evolution, “people, animals, birds, and fish are each made of flesh, but none of them are alike” (1 Corinthians 15:39). We are of different flesh than animals.

God doesn’t exist. The fool says in his heart that there is no God (Psam 14:1). There is no such thing as an atheist. We are created to worship something. If you proclaim that there is no God, then you are clearly the god of your own life. Just because you’ve proclaimed it, doesn’t make it true. If I could say there’s no gravity, does this mean there’s no gravity? To say that there is no God requires you to have infinite knowledge of all things created, all things yet to come, and all things that have passed.

Science explains everything. Science merely explains the logical side of God and His creation. In the scientific proof of the Bible, it shows scientific facts and principles referred to in this ancient Bible, but not actually discovered by humankind until later centuries. I researched in the wiki.answers.com if when was the water cycle discovered. According to that informative website, ‘According to historians, the water cycle was discovered slowly over a period of painstaking years. However, Bernard Palissy is credited in the 16th century to be the scientist who compiled the theories that existed for years and “wrote” our modern hydrological cycle.’ But much to the surprise of others, according to documents that date back to before the Common Era (thousands of years), knowledge of the water cycle existed then. These documents are found in the manuscripts of the Bible, and illustrating just one instance, found in the oldest manuscript known in the Bible, the book of Job and Ecclesiastes, specifically 1:7. Before man discovered that the air has weight on 16th century, there was already a significant record of it in Job 28:25. To take note, the Bible is estimated to have been written between 1450 BC and 95 A.D.

”Morality is doing right, regardless of what you’re told. Religion is doing what you’re told, regardless of what is right.” I propose rhetorical questions: Where do we even get these morals? Why is it wrong to murder, or rape, or steal if there is no God? The Lord writes our morals upon our hearts (Hebrews 10:16). We have eternity in our hearts (Ecclesiastes 3:11).

Let us strive for a world where science and reason make the human race progress, instead of being divided by “religion”. I find it peculiar that people seem to target people who are seriously serving God. We must be doing something right as what God tells us to do. ‘If the people of this world hate you, just remember that they hated me first. If you belonged to the world, its people would love you. But you don’t belong to the world. I have chosen you to leave the world behind, and that is why its people hate you. Remember how I told you that servants are not greater than their master. So if people mistreat me, they will mistreat you. If they do what I say, they will do what you say’ (John 15:18). Science and reason do not make the world progress. Our world is doomed to eventual implosion. Scientists promote that the world is not sustainable enough to last another hundred years. Our cultures are going to die out because we lack selflessness.

I don’t need religion, I have a conscience. Where did our conscience come from? It’s been dictated by someone… Or Someone. People don’t really need religion. What they need is a personal, serious and intimate relationship with God.

The inquirer’s logic is futile. All these questions are rhetorical. People who always have a doubt and keep on questioning God only end up frustrated. My response is according to the Scriptures, and not a man made argument.

I won’t make this article long. What I’ve presented here in response to what I have received in my Blog was based on my evidence- Bible. I am not starting a debate. Nor do I want to demean people who are against God or don’t believe in God. For a serious reason, I respect them. For I know, in God’s time, they will know the absolute truth that will set their mind in bondage from the enemy free.
